1. DATA CONTROLLER

The data controller responsible for the personal data collected through GoExplorer.Guide is GeoHub Solutions SPA, located in Viña del Mar. Valparaíso. Chile.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1 From business (listing registration)

Business name and legal representative name.
Email address, phone number, and WhatsApp number.
Physical address, region, sector/locality, and google maps coordinates.
Business description, services, schedules, prices, and payment methods.
Logo, photographs, videos, and multimedia content.
Social media links and website URL.
Information about sustainability and inclusion practices.

2.2 From visitor user (travelers)

Anonymous browsing data: pages visited, time spent, searches performed, approximate location (country/region).
Voluntary contact data: email and name, only when subscribing to the newsletter or requesting information.
Purchase information: when buying the Explorer Pass or travel guides, we collect data necessary for the transaction (name, email). We do not store credit card data; payment processing is handled by certified providers (Stripe, PayPal, or others).

2.3 Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and tracking technologies to:

Improve browsing experience and personalize content.
Analyze traffic and user behavior on the Platform.
Remember language and destination preferences.

3. PURPOSES OF DATA PROCESSING

We use the information for the following purposes:

Primary purpose: Display the operator’s listing on the directory and interactive map, allowing travelers to discover and contact them directly.
Communication: Send notifications about listing status, Platform updates, and newsletters (only with prior consent).
Promotion: Share operator content on our social media, travel guides, and marketing materials, always crediting the author.
Analytics and statistics: Generate anonymous sustainable tourism metrics for the Tourism Observatory reports and provide operators with performance data about their listing through their private dashboard.
Sale of editorial products: Process purchases of travel guides, maps, and digital or print publications.
Legal compliance: Respond to requests from competent authorities when required by law.

4. WE DO NOT SELL OR SHARE YOUR DATA

GoExplorer.Guide does not sell, rent, or commercialize personal data of operators or users to third parties.

The operator’s contact data (WhatsApp, phone, email or social networks) is publicly visible on their listing so that travelers can contact them directly. This is an essential part of the service and is disclosed at the time of registration.

We may share information only in the following cases:

With technology service providers that help us operate the Platform (hosting, analytics, payment processing), always under confidentiality obligations.
When required by law or by order of a competent authority.

5. OPERATOR DASHBOARD AND DATA CONTROL

Each registered operator has a private control panel where they can:

Access statistics: View metrics about visits to their listing, clicks to their contact channels, traffic sources, and user behavior. This data is aggregated and anonymous; we do not share individual traveler personal information.
Manage their information: Modify at any time their listing data, photographs, descriptions, prices, and contact methods.
Manage their credentials: Change their password and login information.
Request complete account deletion: The operator may exercise their right to cancel their registration and delete all their personal data from the Platform at any time, without needing to provide explanations or pay any penalty.

6. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

In accordance with the Mexican Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP), you have the right to:

Access: Know what personal data we have about you.
Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Cancellation: Request deletion of your data and removal of your listing at any time.
Opposition: Object to the processing of your data for specific purposes.

To exercise these rights, send a request to admin@goexplorer.guide with the subject “Privacy Rights Request” including:

Full name and business name.
Clear description of the right you wish to exercise.
Document proving your identity.

We will respond within a maximum of 20 business days. You may also request cancellation directly from your operator dashboard.

7. DATA SECURITY

We implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal data against damage, loss, alteration, destruction, or unauthorized use, including:

Encrypted connections (SSL/TLS) across the entire website.
Restricted access to databases.
Periodic system and password updates.

However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. By using the Platform, you accept this inherent level of risk.

8. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal data while your listing is active on the Platform or as long as necessary to comply with legal obligations. If you request deletion of your listing, we will erase your personal data within 30 days, unless the law requires its retention.

9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Some of our technology service providers may be located outside Mexico (for example, servers in the United States). In such cases, we ensure that these providers comply with data protection standards equivalent to those required by Mexican legislation.

10. MINORS

The Platform is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not intentionally collect personal data from minors. If we discover that a minor has provided information, we will delete it immediately.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with the update date. If we make substantial changes, we will notify registered operators by email.
