Miraflores, a small town located 45 minutes north of San Jos del Cabo along the Baja California Sur, exudes a quaint splendor and vibe of friendliness. Founded in the early 1700s, welcoming locals in the historic village invite visitors into their local leatherwork shops and other tiendas to browse handcrafted pottery and furniture. The town is renowned for its leather goods made into belts, wallets, saddles and various equestrian products, so don’t leave without putting something in your bag of goodies. Shopping is only one of the attractions to the town as there are many other things to do including a refreshing dip in the hot springs located near town, or joining in other activities like off-roading with ATVs under the shadow of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains and even heading out on a road day trip to visit surrounding places like Santiago. Miraflores is mostly centrally located to be able to jump location to location from Cabo San Lucas to La Paz on any given day, making it the proper starting point for any exploration of the Baja Peninsula.
